Good News from Belgium

The Belgian Senator Bert Anciaux put a parliamentary question to the Vice-minister for foreign affairs Didier Reynders. In it he points out the injustice of the trials- FBI’s dirty war against native American activists-the way the US government en the white majority treats the indigenous people of America.

He asks:

1.What happend with the resolutions (resp.March, 13 1997 and June 2000).Did Belgium took a stand en if so what were the results? Did the US answered the questions for( a) clementie en for (b) a new investigation of the trails?

2.Is the Minister prepared to air his concerns about the gros injustice and to renew his questions for the release of Leonard Peltier.

Vice Minister Didier Reynders answered at the 10th october. From his answer we can conclude that his knowledge of the dossier is well .Het said that he put his trust on Barack Obama to grant Leonard Peltier Clemency.

So, boys and girls, this is the result of us badgering politicians week after week. And we will go on badgering the higher echelons until they are wide awake and act!

Michael Kuzma kindly gave us permission to print the ‘Commute Leonard Peltier’s sentence’ postcards in a format conform to continental postal laws. Everywhere we go we ask people to sign. To ensure they will be send to the White House supporters pay us €1,50 and we take care for the stamps and sending.
