Regional Organizers-What are the responsibilities and obligations?

Hello Everyone,

My understanding of this position is that we  are suppose to be supportive with knowledge sharing and ideas for the Chapters in our Regions, Help welcome & educate new Chapters.Speak out and work with our Chapters to Educate the Public with-in our time & financial abilities. In general to help promote good team-work. I do not think that it means we have to hold their hands 24 hours a day and micro-manage every thing they do.Now that’s just a very basic over-view of mine.

I am interested in knowing what others consider the positions responsibilities to be or not to be.

I am also interested in seeing RO’s share ideas and tips on Event Planning,New Educational Formats, anything and everything that may help each of us be a stronger voice for Leonard!

Looking forward to your responses,

Joelle

As the web developer for this site, your ideas will help me a lot to figure out what is working and what needs to be added. I can’t say much as to my opinion of the responsibilities of RO’s, but I would also like to hear what they have to say so that I might be able to help in some way with our new social networking tools or something on the new site.

Personally I think your doing a great job as web developer and look forward to seeing what other good ideas you implement.

  3. Congratulations with the initiative!

I wish the counter was still on the site. It was a million hits i seen at one time.

We can easily add a counter back to the page. The previous site stats functions were not that great, so I optimized the search engine options and integrated the site with Facebook to allow for people to find us easier, and we have been getting many more hits on the page now. I will check to see what the last known amount of hits was and start the counter again from there. Thank you for your suggestion.

      Joelle,

You are right in your assessment of the position. it is not there to be the know all and to bully people but to be supportive. Helping the chapters build their team is very important along with the educational aspect that comes with Leonard’s campaign. A good RC is there when needed to contribute but at the same time allowing the members to breathe. I think you have that already, I agree with your original post. Hope I have helped in some small way!

    • Joelle says:

Sarah,I think letters, phone calls, emails and educators (in educating everyone you can )is a good place to start. Remember I am always available to help with anything I within my time and budget I can.

I think its important that “ALL” L.P.D.O.C. Chapters work togather! No matter what other group affilition they have. We are here for leonard only! No one else. If groups cannot cooperate with each other then maybe they should step down…L.P.O.D.C. Black Hills chapter will sponsor anonther 4-weekend in a row Protest Rally here in Rapid City, 2-Weekends at the court house & two weekends at the federal Building building up to a 5th rall in the states capital…Thats how we roll, we dont ne to solicit any funds for our efforts….We are only here for leonard.
