Chapter Code of Conduct

The Spiritual Groundwork

By design and at Leonard's request, the LPDOC chapters are designed around the cultural and spiritual aspects of the group who lived in Oglala during the summer of 1975. The group had a way of life and a code of conduct that still guides our organization today.

Our Way

  1. No alcohol.

  2. No drugs.

  3. No fighting.

  4. Respect for one another.

  5. Respect for the people coming to our home.

  6. Most of all, respect for ourselves as balanced human beings.

"I ask each and every individual working for me to honor this code of conduct. You are representing me and my bid for freedom. The public looks at you before they see me or my issue." – Leonard Peltier
