Freedom Road:  More Miles to Go

Have you traveled recently?  If so, you know that the cost of travel has significantly increased.

We have reached a critical time in Leonard Peltier's fight for freedom and yet we have many more miles to go before freedom is won.

You can help us defray the cost of air and ground transportation, lodgings, meals and other incidental expenses.

How?  Be a "travel buddy".  Purchase travel miles for $1.00 per mile.  It's easy.  Donate online by clicking on the below Buy Now button.  Enter the quantity of miles you wish to purchase and provide all other requested information.

For example:

  • You can sponsor any number of miles, in fact—12 travel miles, for example (equal to $12.00 or $1.00 per month).

  • Purchase 60 travel miles for $60.00 (equal to $5.00 per month, or roughly the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks).

  • Purchase 100 travel miles ($100.00).

Note:  If you have difficulty accessing the PayPal system, you may use the Donate button on this page, enter an amount, and leave a message:  "Miles".

Each of us surely can afford to purchase 5 miles.  So, please sponsor attorneys and other Peltier representatives as they travel to Washington, DC, to influence a clemency decision.  Sponsor attorneys for trips to Coleman, Florida, for meetings with Leonard, too.  Please sponsor other Peltier representatives as they travel to important meetings and events to help gain support for Leonard's freedom.

But don't wait.  Become a "travel buddy," today!

Much of the information contained on this site is derived from In the Spirit of Crazy Horse by Peter Matthiessen, the definitive work on the American Indian Movement (AIM) and the Peltier case. The author successfully defended against lawsuits brought by former Governor and Congressman William Janklow from South Dakota (convicted of manslaughter in 2003, jailed, and forced to resign his congressional seat in disgrace) and FBI Special Agent David Price in three different states, surviving an eight-year litigation. As acknowledged by the courts, Matthiessen's reputation for not being sensationalistic or scandalous is well known. He is a highly respected author and his works have received wide acclaim.
