Peltier March

San Francisco, California

January 23, 2009

Members of the Native American community and supporters of jailed American Indian Movement leader Leonard Peltier rallied at the San Francisco Federal Building to protest his continued imprisonment. Many expressed the worry that Peltier's January 13th transfer to USP-Canaan in Waymart, Pennsylvania, is a continuing threat to his safety. (Below photos by Bill Hackwell.)
