We’ll be tabling for Leonard Peltier at the 8th American Indian Heritage Celebration from noon to 10:00pm at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA.  September 12 is Leonard Peltier’s 71st birthday, his 39th year wrongfully incarcerated. Please come to the Leonard Peltier Support Group booth and sign/write a birthday card for Leonard.

This is a FREE admission event, open to the public, parking is $5, but you can find free parking outside the fairgrounds.

Special appearance by Billy Mills. Billy Mills shocked the world at the 1964 Olympics and came from behind to win the gold medal in the 10k race. He is still the only American to ever win a gold medal in the 10k event. His win was an upset that has been called the second greatest moment in Olympic history. Billy Mills, Oglala Lakota (Sioux), was raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He has dedicated his life to serving American Indian communities.
